Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC) using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Configure and manage firewall rules and network security devices to enforce security policies.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment of software and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst role or related field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, Endpoint Protection).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
