Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response for active breaches
- Implement and maintain network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop security documentation and compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture
- Stay current with emerging threats and MITRE ATT&CK framework
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in security operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Hands-on experience with security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Nmap)
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts and on-call duties
