Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct basic vulnerability scans and support patch management processes.
- Document security incidents, findings, and resolution steps in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal security policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in security awareness training and mock phishing exercises.
- Support the deployment and configuration of firewalls and endpoint protection solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Passion for Security: A strong desire to learn about network security, threat detection, and risk management.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Availability: Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends during critical security events.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred but not mandatory.
