Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms like Splunk or ArcSight.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and mitigate security incidents and breaches in real-time.
- Configure and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and network security devices.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to implement security controls.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Experience with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, or Nessus is required.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and adhere to strict deadlines.
