Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential breaches in real-time.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
- Enforce security policies and best practices across the network, servers, and endpoints.
- Collaborate with IT and management to recommend and implement advanced security enhancements.
- Manage user access controls and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, NIST, and ISO compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a cybersecurity, SOC, or IT security environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm and decisive under pressure.
