Your Mission
In this role, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will work closely with the IT team to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and ensure our systems remain secure against evolving threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments to identify potential security gaps.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions to safeguard organizational assets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure network architectures and software solutions.
- Generate and present regular security reports to stakeholders to maintain visibility into the security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond to critical security events.
