Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructures
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using tools like Wireshark and FTK
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through continuous research
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM implementation
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS/Azure security services)
- Strong analytical skills for threat intelligence correlation
- Familiarity with NIST and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
