Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+) preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours
