Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect sophisticated threats
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents, documenting findings and recommending mitigations
- Develop and implement security policies aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for enterprise networks
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security breaches
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence sharing
- Present security posture reports to executive stakeholders quarterly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on threat detection experience
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required; GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection platforms
- Excellent written communication for incident documentation and reporting
