Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with minimal disruption
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network assets
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Provide security awareness training to staff across departments
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical skills and threat investigation experience
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements
