Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using advanced SIEM platforms
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic investigations to identify sophisticated attack vectors
- Develop and implement security automation scripts using provided tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams to harden systems against emerging threats
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive security briefings
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using licensed tools
- Stay current with cyber threat intelligence and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations center (SOC) experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security frameworks
- Ability to work with provided specialized security hardware and software
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
