Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and implement remediation protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations center (SOC) experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in threat detection
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, AlienVault)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical reporting
