Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with NIST and ISO frameworks.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve network resilience.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed forensic logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or information security role.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
