Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Assist in incident response procedures and forensic investigations
- Document security events using ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys tools
- Collaborate with IT teams on security awareness training initiatives
- Participate in penetration testing simulations under guidance
- Stay current on emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
- Must pass background check and pre-employment skills assessment
