Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic, security alerts, and SIEM systems to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the response to security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in our systems and infrastructure.
- Security Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and procedures across the organization.
- Threat Intelligence: Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threat actors, and mitigation strategies to proactively defend against attacks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike) and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Strong familiarity with SIEM platforms and incident response workflows.
