Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar; conduct thorough investigations and incident response.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify potential weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices to enforce security policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal security standards and external regulations such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including security baselines and playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with log analysis, threat hunting, and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
