As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the resilience of our network environments and protecting sensitive data from evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents and breaches according to established incident response protocols and NIST standards.
- Manage and maintain firewall policies, VPN configurations, and network access controls to enforce security best practices.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and post-incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide security awareness training to staff and conduct regular security compliance checks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or CCNA Security are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
