Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM environment (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and manage patching cycles to mitigate potential risks.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including phishing attempts and malware breaches.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and configure network security controls (Firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Perform regular security audits and penetration testing support.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed incident response reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
