Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen organizational defenses.
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to ensure continuous security.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with incident response teams to minimize downtime.
- Enforce compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) across all IT systems.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SOC operations or network security.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
