Responsibilities
- Conduct real-time threat detection and analysis across enterprise networks
- Investigate and remediate security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud/on-premise systems
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Monitor emerging threats and provide actionable mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for technical/non-technical stakeholders
- Active NYS Security Clearance preferred
