Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) to identify anomalies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate active security incidents, following established playbooks and escalation procedures.
- Configure, maintain, and tune firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security controls.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and common security protocols.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and tools (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
