Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis, containment, and post-incident reporting.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture and systems.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Security Operations Center (SOC) playbooks and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development and deployment practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is highly valued.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Linux, Windows Server).
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and antivirus platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
