Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and develop mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and policies
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and compliance documentation
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar role
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH required; GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in threat hunting and incident response
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent written communication and documentation abilities
