As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against sophisticated threats. You will monitor security operations centers (SOC), analyze threats, and implement robust security measures to safeguard our organization's assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure and applications.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident remediation.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure network architectures and firewalls.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff members to reduce human error.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and virtualization.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python or Bash) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to work on-site in San Jose, CA.
