Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and coordinate remediation efforts
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security controls and ensure compliance with NIST/CIS frameworks
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and proactively identify emerging risks
- Document security incidents, create executive reports, and present findings to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Strong proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Certifications: Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in threat hunting, malware analysis, and digital forensics
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents under pressure
