Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, incident response, or SOC roles
- Industry certifications: Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network analysis (Wireshark), and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM frameworks
