Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts for potential threats
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate forensic analysis
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate risks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Prepare detailed incident reports and executive summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams on security best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security architecture
- Incident response experience (NIST framework)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours during security incidents
