Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident responses
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic analysis to identify sophisticated attack vectors
- Develop/implement security controls for network, cloud, and endpoint systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS frameworks
- Lead security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks)
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with incident response (NIST SP 800-61) and malware analysis
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under tight deadlines
