Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols to protect against malware, ransomware, and phishing attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA regulations
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Train employees on cybersecurity best practices and security awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
