Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms 24/7 to detect and respond to security incidents
- Conduct threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework methodologies
- Perform forensic analysis on endpoints, networks, and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts (Python, PowerShell)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices
- Generate executive-level security incident reports and metrics
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Proficiency in network protocols and Windows/Linux systems
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS models
- Strong analytical skills and threat actor profiling experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- Eligible for US government clearance (or ability to obtain)
