Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-prem environments
- Develop playbooks for SOC operations and document security procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST 800-53 controls
- Lead forensic investigations and root cause analysis post-breach
- Manage security awareness training programs for enterprise staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations, threat intelligence, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+/CISSP/CISA certification preferred
- Expertise in IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection tools
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong understanding of HIPAA/GDPR compliance frameworks
