Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, including malware analysis and intrusion detection
- Develop and implement security monitoring dashboards to provide real-time threat visibility
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and maintain compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Create detailed incident response reports and recommend mitigation strategies
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on critical systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasure technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity analysis or SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work under pressure during critical security incidents
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
