Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze suspicious activities
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security dashboards, reports, and threat intelligence summaries
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry trends to proactively address risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong analytical skills with experience in incident response and threat hunting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure during incidents
