Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity and potential threats
- Conduct in-depth incident response investigations including root cause analysis and mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, system architectures, and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
