Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus/Burp Suite and remediate critical findings
- Perform forensic analysis on malware incidents and generate detailed incident reports
- Develop playbooks for emerging threats like ransomware and APT campaigns
- Collaborate with network teams to implement zero-trust architectures
- Lead tabletop exercises simulating complex cyber-attack scenarios
- Maintain compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat detection roles
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and common attack vectors
- Proficiency in Python/PowerShell for automation tasks
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
- Clearable background check required
