Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and compliance frameworks
- Analyze security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend defensive improvements
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
