Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Create detailed incident response reports and executive security briefings
- Lead security awareness training for employees across all departments
- Manage threat intelligence feeds and proactively hunt for anomalies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure during critical security incidents
