Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and coordinate rapid response protocols
- Implement and maintain vulnerability management programs across hybrid IT environments
- Develop security awareness training programs for employees in critical infrastructure sectors
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and industry-specific regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden network infrastructure against emerging threats
- Generate executive-level security reports and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS deployment
- Proficiency in threat intelligence analysis and incident response methodologies
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance (post-hire)
