Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate response across IT teams
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with network team on firewall rule optimization
- Stay current on emerging threats and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations or threat detection roles
- CompTIA Security+ and/or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency with IDS/IPS tools (Suricata/Snort)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant/Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and cloud security
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts during major incidents
