Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and prepare comprehensive incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and implement controls
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify anomalous behavior and potential breaches
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis techniques
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
