Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response for zero-day vulnerabilities
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and runbooks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical assets
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Lead forensic investigations and provide detailed incident reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems administration
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
