Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security alerts to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols, policies, and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Analyze malware, threat intelligence, and attack vectors to enhance defense mechanisms
- Document security incidents and provide detailed forensic reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and security automation platforms
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate complex security issues clearly
