Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
- Develop and execute vulnerability assessments penetration testing programs
- Provide 24/7 incident response support during security emergencies
- Document security policies, procedures, and playbooks for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel)
- Experience with network security protocols and cloud security frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Excellent written/verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders
