Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and analyze threat intelligence
- Investigate security alerts, determine root causes, and document incident response activities
- Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and harden systems
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and prepare detailed reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid US driver's license and ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
