Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation protocols
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent security certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with experience in incident response and threat mitigation
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
