Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and correlate data to identify potential threats
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and forensic evidence collection
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, AlienVault)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
