Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for network, cloud, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure system architecture and compliance frameworks
- Document security incidents and create comprehensive mitigation reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling
