Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network security controls and protocols
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Proficiency in threat intelligence tools (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection platforms
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
