Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents and coordinate breach response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and implement security controls to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards
- Document security incidents and prepare comprehensive incident reports
- Stay current on threat intelligence and emerging attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and IDS/IPS
- Strong analytical skills with experience in threat hunting and root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for security reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
