Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber threats and breaches
- Analyze malware, intrusion attempts, and anomalous network behavior
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security controls and policies
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST frameworks)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure during security incidents
